About Shinji

Picture Shinji Takeuchi, born in 1965, has no experience in competitive swimming. Although he learned how to swim in his childhood, he did not swim as his regular exercise until he decided to start swimming in 2002. His doctor recommended him to exercise to lose weight, and the only sport he could do was swimming.

At first, he was unable to swim longer than 15 minutes. In order to improve, he began studying efficient swimming techniques and devoted himself to systematic practice. Within one year, he lost 18 pounds and significantly improved both his speed and endurance. His smooth and effortless style began attracting attention from other swimmers.

Through years of study, experimentation, and instruction, Shinji developed a structured approach to adult swim improvement focused on efficiency, body alignment, and sustainable technique development. His teaching emphasizes making swimming easier, more comfortable, and more repeatable for adult learners.

Since 2005, he has been teaching swimming in Japan, specializing in adult beginners and late starters. He has designed numerous structured workshops and training programs to help swimmers improve efficiently regardless of age or prior experience.

Picture His YouTube channel, dedicated to efficient swimming techniques, has surpassed 35 million total views, reaching swimmers worldwide.
